In my opinion, this is a REAL newsletter! Ted Goas begins with an editorial introducing the purpose of his newsletter, and relating a problem he's just encountered on his website. email deliverability and double opt-in. Then, he simply unfolds the three main topics with a brief summary or relatively short text. Not only is the method relevant (email isn't a web page, and shouldn't play the role of a blog, but rather serve as a means of "conversion")but the subjects are fascinating: Design, emailing code and ecology. Yes, the design is minimalist... So what? Why not? A newsletter is mostly about content! In my opinion, good design AND content practices for a newsletter are respected. I assume the same applies to email code, as I read the paragraph on Email Octopus in more detail 🙂
